Happy 16th Birthday

This year's birthday was too beautiful. The best i've ever had.

The days leading up to my birthday were wonderful too. Got to spend it with lovely people like e and the guides!

I wanna blog everything out, so that in years to come i can look back and reflect on how i had such a sweet 16.

Hmm, okay shall blog abt friday first, the eve of my birthday.
Well after guides, i was feeling reeally hungry since i didnt have lunch (due to physics diagnostics). So yea, followed Khad and Yik Heng to get some things to eat. So a few of us sat and ate together. Hahah, i thot it was kinda weird since those who ate with me were usually the ones who'd be first to leave after guides. They were the DISTRACTION people =.= HAHAHA
Anyway, i had to wait for deryn cos she wanted to have a meeting with me regarding CGT (if not i wld have gone home!)

Then, may came and asked me to follow her go toilet. Hahha, a weird request since she usually goes to toilets alone? And Yi Bei tagged along. Once we reached the first floor toilet, they both decided they want to go 2nd floor toilet instd..so i'm like 0.o and went along. Then when we reached the 2nd floor, they didnt want to go toilet anymore! And instead wanted to say bye to grace. So we stood there facing the side foyer, staring down in silence...

Then then then, i got a call from Damia saying to hurry to first floor cos apparently there's a mtg! Hahaha! So three of us went back down. They stopped me outside GO, i think? took out my tie and blindfolded me. And i was uh escorted to behind the canteen?

AND ohman i was so shocked at the sight. I was so moved. If only i had a picture of what i saw.
There was this huge sign saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" (the first pic above), the guides standing on the benches and Sarah holding a lighted cake. And someone holding a huge colourful windmill? HAHAHA. Goodness was so shocked (in a good way). I wanted to cry, i really did but somehow my tear ducts weren't functioning. =/

(Earlier in the day Mdm Audra showed us a snippet from Happy Feet and i almost so nearly cried, if the papa penguin hadn't suddenly started dancing when he was suffering from some penguin depression 2 seconds before that) See, i can cry when it comes to animated birds dancing but not when i really want to. HAHAHA

Went to the canteen to cut the cake, and instead Kena ORANGE SPRAYED by maytavee.
OMG LA. Hahahah :] and then lydia tan just haaaad to smudge my face with cake.

Was smiling the whole way home. Didn't care that the whole MRT was staring at a girl with orange bits in her extremely messy hair, holding a huge colourful windmill.

I didn't manage to stay up till midnight. Knocked out abt 10 plus. Missed the influx of messages and calls. Haha, was pleasantly surprised when i woke up at 3 to find missed calls and wonderful messages.

Today, i spent my birthday with my dearest beloved family. Went to AMIRAH'S Grill.
Hohoho ^^

And my bro purposely said out loud to the owner, "today's my sister Amirah's birthday".
AND i think the owner has the same name as me? So for dessert, i got an extra cheesecake plus one scoop of ice cream with a candle

2008

2008 was truly a life-pivoting year. Things changed so drastically. Life got so hectic with school work, CCA, leadership responsibilities, personal matters, social obligations. etc.
But it's one of thsoe years that i'll remember for a long long time. What with stepping up and assuming all sorts of responsibilities.

Friendships were formed from HwaChong SLC, TJC convention, rgs pss, friends of friends
Got to know many cool people like peisi, danial, nick yeo, ashri, hock xiang, alvin, michael etc.

Friendships grew stronger, Friendships grew weaker.
Hi-Bye friends became really close friends, and really close friends became Hi-Bye Friends
Some friendships didn't change, of which i thank god for.

I've grown this year. To tolerate, to understand, to accept.

On a higher note, here is a list of people i'd really like to thank for making 2008 a memorable year fr me. Hahah, don't need to read the parts which are not yours!
